There’s something almost magnetic about Ulla Johnson’s signature pieces—those artisanal embroideries, vibrant prints, and feminine silhouettes that practically announce themselves in a crowd. They’re recognizable in the best way. But what I’ve been loving lately are the Ulla pieces that feel a little more off-the-radar, unidentifiable even—but no less exquisite. Perhaps they're even more elegant and elevated but in that same easy-to-wear Ulla way. It's currently peak season for coats up top, sandals down low: spring in the streets, summer on the feet. The key to this transitional look is the footwear: a sandal with quiet intention. Translation: a barely-there heel, an elegant leather thong, or a rope detail that hints at hot and sunny while still holding its own under a cool trench.
