Long hair is the enemy of earrings. This is what I am being told by my friend Kate, who is in town from Hawaii, along with her lush and lengthy locks--minus her usual ear stack. That's because, she explained, her hair is snagging on the backs of her earrings and now she has just glaring empty holes. To the rescue: !
