A recent closet cleanse revealed I need more everyday blouses in my life. But the special, hard-to-find kind that stands up to the mundane--i.e., early morning school runs, market sweeps, etc.--but still looks cute, like I made an effort to get "dressed." So I did some snooping around and discovered these beauts from T by Alexander Wang, J.Crew, Tibi, Madewell, And Other Stories, Rebecca Taylor, Antik Batik, and Free People.
I'm not stopping my streak of self-indulgence just yet (more pumpkin pie, anyone?), as, oh yes, there is still more sale shopping to be had. Starting with the high offerings like the prettiest Alessandra Rich dress, above and the low H&M gems, such as the embroidered sweater below. I would mind throwing into my big ol' shopping cart these finds from Alexis (I already have this dress in white and love it--see me in it here), Miu Miu, H&M, Balenciaga, Mango, Marc Jacobs, and Zimmermann. Get in there!
I lost my beloved Ray-Ban sunglasses somewhere off the coast of Guadalupe a few days ago, so I just snapped up not one but two replacements as they are on sale at Shopbop, along with a bevy of other beautiful things. (I also bought this Tanya Taylor dress and this cute Flynn Skye jumpsuit and saved my myself 30%!) Also good: these Loeffler Randall shearling sandals, this Clare V basket tote, this embellished 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater, this J.O.A bomber jacket and this Otto d'ame faux fur coat. My dress, above, is not on sale, but it's wallet friendly and available here with loads of other great things on sale.
Net-a-Porter is giving us a Christmas present before Thanksgiving with its just-launched sale, featuring all the fall pieces you could want at up to half off. Take for instance, these Mansur Gavriel mules and this Simon Miller bag, both pictured above. Other desirables: this vacation-ready Zimmermann dress, these Stella McCartney wide leg jeans, this Ulla Johnson one-shoulder blouse, this Cornelia Webb pearl-studded choker and this Ganni open-back sweater. Check it all out for yourself here.

While I am not quite ready to hang up the garland and steep myself in egg nog, I could easily slip into these festive, holiday party-worthy sequin trousers (they also come in black.) I love that they're flashy and unexpected--i.e. way more interesting than a predictable LBD. Other dressy pants to consider include these by Jenni Kayne, Rag & Bone, Zara, and Emilio Pucci.
Like everybody else these days, my best friend is all about "hygge," the Danish buzzword synonymous with coziness, comfort and contentment. (P.S. It's pronounced hoo-guh, and derives from a sixteenth-century
Norwegian term, hugga, meaning “to comfort” or “to console,” which is related to the English word “hug.”) Now, with this super soft and perfectly fluffy Madewell popover, I'm with her on the hygge bandwagon!
I haven't even ordered the turkey yet but already Thanksgiving sales are on fire! Take for instance Moda Operandi's Friend and Family Half Off Sale, featuring the tempting likes of this Lisa Marie Fernandez dress, above, perfect for warm weather getaways, these festive Charlotte Olympia sandals, this stand out Isa Arfen blouse, this party-ready Ulla Johnson dress, and this Warm floral blouse. Check it all out here.
When I was in New York last week, I did something I rarely do: I went underwear and bra shopping. This happened after trying on clothes at a store with a friend, who was wearing a super sexy but everyday-worthy bra; meanwhile, mine was basic and utilitarian (read: anything but sexy). So I went and conquered, and now I want even more options! (I honestly feel a little chicer with my new underpinnings, which is not a bad thing, I have to say.) I'm lusting after these lovelies from Cosabella, Hanky Panky, Free People, Anine Bing, and Honeydew.
With the success of this sequin dress on Saturday night, I thought I'd kick off the week with even more sparkle.

I was in New York City this week to see old friends and gleaned some good finds you might want to know about. For starters, a
friend wore these Anne Sisteron rose gold and diamond huggies to drinks at Casa Lever (so chic!) the other night,
and I mistook them for two separate earrings rather than one. So cute, right? She also wore these incredibly flattering jeans and this fun blouse. Another friend's skin looked unusually (amazingly) luminous, and she chalked it up to Le Metier de Beaute Vital ET Recovery Boost. I made an immediate beeline to Bergdorf's and picked up a bottle for myself. At Sushi Seki another night, I spotted a woman wearing this Asos statement top and snapped it up on my phone in between bites of a spicy tuna roll. Other new-to-me restaurants I checked out: Le Charlot (best moules frites I've had in a while), Majorelle (for drinks in a posh setting), and Scalinatella (delectable grilled carciofi!). I 💙 NY!
This super cute one-shoulder J. Crew jumpsuit is going to be my last-minute, no-fail solution to holiday partying. P.S. It's 25% off, along with other fun new pieces such as this, this and this till tomorrow!
If you need to plug some fall wardrobe gaps, now's the time, as Nordstrom is offering deep discounts on just-out cold-weather styles, including all the jeans you could ever want. I'm in the market for light-wash straight-leg denim, similar to above, and found these by Hudson, Mother, and Madewell on sale. I also could use this cute tweed Missoni jacket, these wide-leg Rebecca Taylor khakis, this throw-over-everything parka by The Great, and these classic Stan Smith Adidas sneaks. Shop the sale through 11/12 here.
I love the embellished, Marni-ish vibe of this statement knit, perfect for day and night!

I've never ever been a perfume person. Strong scents give me a headache, and the number of options that don't are dizzying. But then I discovered Berber Blonde by Sana Jardin. At a dinner party the other night, while I was swilling a good glass of champagne, an intoxicating aroma of orange blossom suddenly filled the air--the fresh, just-like-nature kind that breezes into my bedroom on spring nights. We all wanted to know: where was this glorious scent coming from? That's when Amy Christiansen Si-Ahmed, an American living in London, introduced herself and announced that not only was she wearing this fragrance but that she created it! I demanded to be doused in her perfume right away, and because she generously gave me samples, I've been applying this fragrance multiple times a day ever since. I'm not the only one obsessed: when it launched at Harrod's recently, it became the best seller within the first week. Purists will appreciate that it's free of artificial colorants, parabens and formaldehydes, and the bottle is as pretty as can be. You can find it here.
I just went a little bananas shopping Shopbop's sale but I couldn't help myself: there's so much goodness to be had (including the gorgeous Ganni dress, pictured above)! Further justification: I'll be buying stuff for everyone else in the coming (pre-holiday) weeks, so now's the time to self-indulge. Here's what I snapped up: this party-ready Alexis dress, this vacay-bound Shoshanna mini, this flirty Misa maxi, and this wow-'em Nightwalker dress. Shop it all (up to 40% off) here.
What I want to wear on and off the slopes this winter! (Can't wait for Cloud Nine!)
