I chatted with my sister this morning while she was boarding a flight to Maui for a photo shoot, calm as ever, sipping her almond latte, wheeling her trusty carry-on like a pro. She mentioned that her 16-year-old daughter (my niece/goddaughter) was already packing for her own study abroad trip to Florence... which doesn’t happen until mid-June. Yes, mid-June. This girl has zero shame about showing up at the airport like an over-burdened sherpa, overweight luggage be damned. Me? I am the total opposite, team carry-on (okay, with one borderline-too big "personal item.") Naturally, our conversation got me mentally packing and shopping for my imminent summer adventures. Within minutes, I turned up the following carry-on musts from The Reformation (the crochet tote, above, will serve as a beach bag, too), Massimo Dutti, Zara crochet dress and embellished bikini, H&M, Simkhai (tassel mania!), Prada (forever), Hijas de Puka, Topshop and Tory Burch (the color of the summer!)
