water works

I've always wanted to be one of those dewy-skinned, flaxen-haired girls who sips from a water-filled HydroFlask all day long. Meanwhile, I count myself lucky if I get my 8 daily glasses in. So for my New Year's resolution I decided I'd schedule in water breaks, and 10 days in, I am on track! (Skin's looking better, too!) Also, randomly, on the subject of water and on the recommendation of a friend, I got myself a new filtered Jolie shower head that is seriously working wonders--no joke! My hair, for starters, is feeling and looking fuller. It makes sense though that the water I put on my body (read: my skin and largest organ!) is as important as the water I put in my body. LA water contains chlorine, heavy metals and contaminants (e.g., magnesium, calcium, copper, lead, arsenic) that are simply unnatural and not good for my skin and hair, and using a better shampoo or conditioner is not going to fix this. P.S. The shower head is designed to maximize water pressure, too, so all around it's a winner! In other random beauty news: Moda Operandi just launched its tightly edited beauty platform, and, of course, I want everything, especially the lines I've never heard of!
