My Memorial Day weekend kicked off with bike-riding through Napa vineyards and ended with backyard barbecuing in Malibu! I'm totally inspired by One King's Lane current feature on statement jewelry, particularly the kind brandishing big honking colorful stones. These cuffs and rings come off as more earthy-chic rather than garish and overdone, and they perfectly suit this season's bohemian mood. Plus, I love how they can spice up pretty much any outfit. Christian Dior's Resort 2016 collection, showcased yesterday in Cannes, France, indicates that gingham--one of this season's trendiest prints--is here to stay. At least for awhile! The checkered print was rendered in every silhouette from peplum tops to shorts to dresses, and sometimes all layered together, which looked especially fresh (above). Chic summer dressing means just the right amount of skin-baring: an exposed shoulder, a little leg, some decolletage. But this season, it's all about the back. An overnight girls' trip to Napa this week provided me with some much needed meditation time, communing with nature, and pajama partying.
