Caroline Ventura

We all know how a good statement jacket can carry an outfit. But the Tory Burch jacket, pictured above, has even more tricks up its sleeves. For starters, it's reversible: graphic diamond jacquard print on one side, sleek crinkly leather-like material on the other. The sleeves are also detachable, so it can be worn as a vest. (New York-based jewelry designer Caroline Ventura definitely does it justice!) Other standout jackets that will keep on giving: this Opening Ceremony, this Veronica Beard, this Madewell, this Proenza Schouler and this Rebecca Taylor.

Love the shoes in this photo. Who is the designer? Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up about this great jacket, Marlien! I went downtown and bought it today. Not only can it be both a jacket and a vest, but the sleeves also reverse, meaning you can have black solid sleeves zipped on to the patterned body or patterned sleeves zipped on to the black body. So, in all, six looks. I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this! :-)

I know, I love those shoes too. I would also love to know who makes them. Anyone?
