sandal share

Over the weekend, my twin sister (left) and I (right) reunited with a longtime New York-based friend, who came to visit LA with her family. It's been years since we've all spent more than a few hours together, but even so, it was as if we had just talked (and talked) yesterday. I love those kinds of friendships, where despite the distance, the familiarity remains in tact and you can pick up where you left off without skipping a beat. Such was the case when our catching-up on family and friends stuff soon segued to fashion (of course!) and my friend offered up a recommendation for a chic pair of summer sandals. They look like the Valentino Rockstuds (more here and here), she said, knowing they'd be precisely up my alley. Of course, she was right. And her timing, spot-on, as I have a similar pair of sandals that I love but have frequented the shoe repair shop one too many times. So, in the friendly, sharing-is-caring spirit, you can partake in them here!

I've been planning on buying your ASOS dress since you had posted about it a while back. Thoughts? It struck me as something that could be dressed up or down and looked comfortable.

adore each of your sunglasses - i see Celine on the left and Ray Ban on the right. What is your friend wearing?

I'm wearing Celine glasses too. I will find out the provenance of my friend's glasses.

Hmm.... Should I get them in nude or black?

I prefer the nude as they do more for leg lengthening.

Where can you purchase celine sunglasses and what is the name of the style your sister is wearing? They almost look like Spektre She Loves You sunglasses.
Thanks!

My friend is wearing Gucci sunglasses. My sister and I both bought our glasses at Barneys. Sadly, they're not sold online.

After your post, I bought a pair of sandals that look like the Valentino Rockstuds at Nordstrom Rack in black (a steal at $25). Now, I want to wear them for a night out with the girls. I always wear heels when I go to dinner but I want to try something different. Can you do a post on how you would style these flats for a night out?
