selfie

I recently wrote a story for Refinery 29 about my ongoing obsession with printed pants (the ones I'm wearing above are by Tory Burch). And while I may look relaxed in the story's accompanying photo, above, I am secretly squirming inside with embarrassment. Which may explain why you don't see too many photos of me on this blog! And why I've considered commissioning my four-year-old son to illustrate some portraits of me instead. The one below is his most recent take. He drew it at beach camp earlier this week. I asked about the circles on my boxy torso. He answered matter of factly that they were "your boobs." He then realized that he forgot to draw my arms and laughed! While I do have arms, I really don't have much in the boob department, but he is a "guy," which I presume explains his focus!

LOL. They sure start young, don't they?

Love your grey top. Slouchy, chic. What's the fabric? Where did you get it?

Absolutely adorable of your son!
I love your look, too. The red shoes complete it perfectly. I really love your artistic eye... there is so much artistry in the color, pattern, fabric balancing.

Love your selfie! I've been noticing you have a "go to" hairstyle - Would love to hear more about your favorite hairstyle/s/; how you arrived at what works best, etc, if you're willing to share, that is! :) [You'll notice I don't have a selfie I am willing to share! ;)]

LOVE your selfies!!! And I LOVE that top too! Um, and I still have the card I gave my grandpa (of all people) that I made him when I was little that is anatomically correct as well. Although I did give him arms. Ha ha! He gave it back to me YEARS later. =)
