I am in a maxi dress state of mind--and I am sure others are too, with Coachella coming up and all. There really is nothing more warm weather-chic than a flowy floor-grazing frock. Especially a bold printed one. I much prefer ones made from silk rather than jersey, because they look richer, more elegant, perhaps even a little old-school. I also like them with a flat barely-there sandal and a bit of glinty jewelry. My quest thus far has turned up some very nice options by Lovers + Friends, Asos, Free People, Zimmermann, Carolina K, and Mes Demoiselles.

I love these dresses. Perfect for the summer days. And, yes silk is much better and feels nice and comfy on the skin.

Here's the complete info on this lovely dress. Diane Von Furstenberg "Laramie" dress in African Tulip. Christian Louboutin "Hola Chica" brown sandals with the brown ankle laces swapped for black and Givenchy "Obsedia" cuff. The dress is sold out everywhere but there are several listings on Ebay where I just snagged one. Thanks again Marlien for showcasing this amazing dress-I expect to be wearing it nonstop this summer!

Just snagged this dress on eBay as well. There are still a decent amount of sizes-- and for about half the original price!

Does anyone know if the DVF "Laramie" dress runs true to size? I'm usually a 6 petite and there is plenty on Ebay that I'm watching. Any help is appreciated!

I just received my dress yesterday, it's even more gorgeous than than in photos! The silk is top quality and the tailoring and quality is perfect. I'm curvy and usually wear a 12 or 14 so I ordered the UK16/US12. To my delight it runs a bit large, the dress was nice and flowy on. It's also quite long-a hemming is definitely in order. I have an excellent seamstress (getting your clothes tailored to fit is the best style advice I can give and well worth the expense IMO) so after a hemming and a few small tweaks it should be perfect. Bottom line, it does run large but I think that's a good thing as it allows for tailoring to fit. This dress is drop dead gorgeous and uber chic-I'm so glad I spent the money! Many thanks again to Marlien :)
